Fennovoima has published its Corporate Responsibility Report 2017 and the Report of Board of Directors 2017.
- 75% of the local inhabitants at Pyhäjoki and 71.9% in the entire study area support the project
- Development of Fennovoima’s management system continued and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates were granted
- Personnel survey results show that leadership culture is on a good and positive track
- No lost-time accidents at the construction site and Fennovoima’s organization
The Corporate Responsibility Report depicts Fennovoima’s operations, commitments and achievements concerning safety and social, environmental and economic responsibility.
The local support for Fennovoima’s nuclear power plant project increased significantly compared to the previous year. A total of 75% of the local inhabitants at Pyhäjoki support the project. In Pyhäjoki and the surrounding municipalities, 71.9% of the residents were in favour of the project.
During 2017, the development of the Fennovoima Management System continued, and Fennovoima received ISO 140001 Environmental, OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety and ISO 90001 quality management certificates.
According to a survey conducted within Fennovoima’s employees, the leadership culture is on a good and positive track. On average, our employees received 72.8 hours of training during the year. Recruitments continued intensively throughout the year. At the end of the year, the company had 303 employees.
The Fennovoima Responsibility Program supports sustainable development of Fennovoima’s operations and Hanhikivi 1 Program. The program is comprehensive, encompassing all operations within the organization. Fennovoima joined the UN Global Compact sustainability initiative in early 2017.
