The open door day on the Hanhikivi 1 site on Saturday was a success; 1 400 visitors explored the site during the day. The day’s events took place in the vicinity of Fennovoima’s training building on the Hanhikivi peninsula; it was also the starting point for guided bus tours to the site nearby.
In front of the training building, pea soup and coffee were served to the visitors. Employees of Fennovoima, RAOS Project and Titan-2 gave out reflectors and balloons as well as talked about their own work on the Hanhikivi peninsula. Contractors also exhibited their equipment used in the Hanhikivi 1 project.
”Receiving 1 400 visitors is a great achievement, and the positive feedback from them shows our arrangements were successful. This feedback is the best possible thanks for our work. We put a lot of effort into the planning of the event, based on the experiences from last year’s event. The concept is now in good shape, and we will develop it further for future open door days,” says Kimmo Siira, Fennovoima’s regional communications officer.
In last year’s event, 600 visitors got to explore the recently finished Hanhikiventie road.
