Hanhikivi Multisectoral Coordination and Interconnection project started

The Hanhikivi Multisectoral Coordination and Interconnection project, administered by Raahe District Development Center, has been fully started. It is run by Salla Korhonen, the project’s Secretary General.

There are three goals for the project: to maximize the positive effects that are coming to the site area from Fennovoima’s nuclear power plant project, support the appeal of the area as well as to improve the abilities to host other vast projects on the area.

The Hanhikivi Multisectoral Coordination and Interconnection project serves both new companies coming to the area as well as locals living in the area already. E.g. one tool prepared for the project will be a service where all services of the area can be found, such as the information of tax authoritiy, health services and employment offices. The information will be available both electronically and on print in English and Finnish.

Three people work in the Hanhikivi project full-time: Secretary General Salla Korhonen, Liaison Secretary Helena Sydänmetsä and Heini Malm, Expert, Relocation Services.

In addition to Raahe District Development Center, the municipality of Pyhäjoki and BusinessOulu are behind the project. Also, Ylivieska Subregion and Kokkolanseudun Kehitys Ltd Kosek are financing the project.
