Environmental Impact Assessment Report of Fennovoima’s transmission lines completed

The environmental impact assessment (EIA) report of the transmission lines required for Fennovoima’s Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant has been completed.

The national electricity transmission grid company Fingrid has submitted the EIA report to the North Ostrobothnia Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment.

Fennovoima’s nuclear power plant will be connected to the main grid with 110 and 400 kilovolt transmission lines. The planned routes of the transmission lines are located in Pyhäjoki, Raahe, Merijärvi and Kalajoki. Fingrid has been responsible for the implementation of the EIA procedure.

The results of the environmental impact assessment will be presented in the two public events in June.

Fingrid Plc. maintains and develops the nation-wide high-voltage grid, which enables electricity transmission in Finland.
